Third Annual Ohio Sixth Congressional District Collaboration Forum Hosted by: Congressman Bill Johnson - Friday, June 5, 2015
At the April 2015 Buckeye Hills Semi-Annual General Policy Council meeting, the 2014 Annual Report was released.
For consideration of funding from The Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC), Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) and The Economic Development Administration (EDA), applicants should complete a Project Profile by May 18.
A meeting will be held of the District 18 Ohio Public Works Integrating Committee at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at the Best Western, Marietta (formerly known as the Holiday Inn). The purpose of this meeting is to appoint Integrating Committee members to the Executive Committee, appoint Small Government Committee members, appoint officers, and approve the Round 30 evaluation criteria. Immediately following the Integrating Committee meeting, the District 18 Executive and Small Government Committees will meet to elect officers for Round 30. The purpose of this meeting is to revise the Round 29 Evaluation Criteria prior to submission to the Integrating Committee for their approval and to re-appoint members to the Natural Resources Assistance Council. Medical Innovative Readiness Training for Meigs County and Surrounding Region from June 2-11
Training session for the District 18 Ohio Public Works Commission State Capital Improvement Program will be held Thursday, June 11, 2015 at the Best Western (previously known as the Holiday Inn), Marietta, Ohio. The session will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Topics covered in training session include: preparation of the application, and information on loans and loan assistance. This training is offered for all persons interested in applying for funding of the State Capital Improvement Program. Local government entities (county, township, city, village) and water and sewer districts are eligible to participate in this program. The State Capital Improvement Program and the Local Transportation Improvement Program were created to assist in financing local public infrastructure improvements. Local subdivisions that require financial assistance in moving projects forward can pursue this funding through the 18th Public Works District. Consideration for funding is not made on a per capita basis. No particular community has an entitlement to these funds. All interested parties are encouraged to attend the training session.
