Ohio Medicaid Listening Session

Buckeye Hills Regional Council is partnering with the Ohio Department of Medicaid to host a listening session on October 21, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at our headquarters at 1400 Pike Street, in Marietta.Ohio Department of Medicaid is seeking 15-20 individuals who receive services through Medicaid managed care to attend this session and share their health care experiences with representatives from Ohio Medicaid. Light refreshments will be provided. In addition, a gas or grocery card will be provided to individuals who attend and participate in the session. Although formal childcare will not be available, participants are welcome to come with their family.

What is the purpose of the listening session?

Ohio Medicaid is re-examining its current health care structure to better address the needs of those served by Medicaid. As a first step, they are conducting listening sessions with individuals who receive services through Medicaid managed care with the goal of hearing and learning more about what those needs are and understanding their lived experiences with health care.
