The purpose of this meeting is to receive updates from the OneOhio Foundation related to the recent developments with receiving grants and potentially discuss grant applications specific to Region 12.  At this meeting\, the Region 12 committee will also appoint or reappoint committee members. \nBuckeye Hills Regional Council serves as the administrative agent for Region 12 of the OneOhio Recovery Foundation\, which was created to distribute the local share of funds from the State of Ohio’s settlement with the pharmaceutical industry as a consequence of its role in the national opioid epidemic. Region 12 is comprised of Coshocton\, Muskingum\, Guernsey\, Perry\, Morgan\, Noble\, Monroe\, and Washington counties. The Foundation works with local interests to support substance misuse prevention\, treatment\, and recovery efforts and invests funds to support these efforts for Ohioans into the future. At least one of the three CEOs will be appointed to serve on the 11-member Executive Committee. Any CEO wishing to have a voice in the State Capital Improvement Program/Local Transportation Improvement Program (SCIP/LTIP) Issue 2 process is encouraged to attend and vote. \nTrustee Appointment Meeting \nThe District 18 Ohio Public Works Commission will hold its Trustee Appointment Meeting at 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday\, May 22\, 2024\, at Buckeye Hills Regional Council.  The purpose of this meeting is to appoint one township trustee representative and two alternates to serve on the District 18 Public Works Integrating Committee. The purpose of this meeting is to vote on recommending a slate of grant applications and funding amounts to the OneOhio Recovery Foundation.  During this meeting\, the Region 12 grants review committee will enter into an executive session to discuss grant applications. \nBuckeye Hills Regional Council serves as the administrative agent for Region 12 of the OneOhio Recovery Foundation\, which was created to distribute the local share of funds from the State of Ohio’s settlement with the pharmaceutical industry as a consequence of its role in the national opioid epidemic. Region 12 is comprised of Coshocton\, Muskingum\, Guernsey\, Perry\, Morgan\, Noble\, Monroe\, and Washington counties. The Foundation works with local interests to support substance misuse prevention\, treatment\, and recovery efforts and invests funds to support these efforts for Ohioans into the future.
