DESCRIPTION:The advisory group for Buckeye Hills Forward: A Regional Economic Plan will meet at Marietta Armory Square located at 241 Front St\, Marietta\, OH 45750 on Thursday\, February 12\, at 1:30 p.m. \nAs an Economic Development District designated by the U.S. Economic Development Administration\, Buckeye Hills Regional Council is responsible for updating the regional Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) every five years. This update\, titled Buckeye Hills Forward: A Regional Economic Plan\, lays a clear path forward for economic development activities in the region\, formulated by members of communities in the following counties: Athens\, Hocking\, Meigs\, Monroe\, Morgan\, Noble\, Perry\, and Washington. Activities regarding manufacturing\, workforce\, housing\, outdoor recreation\, energy\, agriculture\, and small business are areas of development to be explored within the strategy. DESCRIPTION:The next regular meeting of the OneOhio Region 12 Committee will be Thursday\, February 26\, 2026\, 10:00 a.m.\, at the Washington County Public Library Marietta Branch\, located at 615 Fifth Street. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the OneOhio Recovery Foundation Round 2 Grant Cycle. \nBuckeye Hills Regional Council serves as the administrative agent for Region 12 of the OneOhio Recovery Foundation\, which was created to distribute the local share of funds from the State of Ohio’s settlement with the pharmaceutical industry as a consequence of its role in the national opioid epidemic. Region 12 is comprised of Coshocton\, Muskingum\, Guernsey\, Perry\, Morgan\, Noble\, Monroe\, and Washington counties. The Foundation works with local interests to support substance misuse prevention\, treatment\, and recovery efforts and invests funds to support these efforts for Ohioans into the future.
