Buckeye Hills Regional Council is currently seeking a full-time non-exempt Clinical Assistant for Marietta, Ohio. The Clinical Assistant supports the department with consumer enrollments into the PASSPORT program, Medicaid eligibility, data entry, denials, and dis-enrollments. The Clinical Assistant provides assessment assistance to the clinical staff and consumers in the determination of presumptive eligibility for waiver programs. They maintain communication with Job & Family Service case workers and provide electronic data into the JFS system. They assist clinical staff in setting up service provision for consumers and completing follow-up calls to ensure service starts.
The essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide technical assistance to clinical staff and consumers
- Coordinate distribution, completion, and collection of clinical forms and maintain consumer files
- Represents consumers at JFS meetings
- Review service plan exceptions and reconciliations with provider billing
- Prepares and sends all consumer letters and appeal forms
- Track receipt of physician’s signatures to ensure they are obtained within required timeframes
- Track Medicaid eligibility and notify Fiscal of consumer liability

Education/Experience Required:
High school diploma or GED, with three (3) years experience in a secretarial position or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Starting salary range: $27,347 – $34,183
Fingerprinting, background check, pre-employment drug screen, and valid driver’s license required for hire.
