Office Coordinator

Buckeye Hills Regional Council is currently seeking a full-time, non-exempt Office Coordinator. The Office Coordinator provides administrative and clerical support for all Program Directors.

The essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assists in preparing minutes of meetings.
  • Schedules appointments.
  • Assists in preparing materials for meetings.
  • Manages travel arrangements and assists with reservations for conferences and workshops.
  • Prepares reports for various programs.
  • Prepares correspondence and reports on the computer.
  • Develops and maintains mailing lists.
  • Performs computer data entry assignments.
  • Answers the telephone, responds to questions, directs calls, and takes messages.
  • Processes mail and prepares outgoing mail.
  • Proofreads correspondence and reports to ensure accuracy.
  • Compiles information upon request.
  • Maintains program files for Directors.
  • Completes monthly supply orders and office purchasing.
  • Photocopies materials.
  • Coordinate for and record building maintenance activities.
  • Administer bids and contracts related to building repair and upgrade.
  • Schedules and maintains booking calendar.
  • Responds to requests and identifies the need for building repairs and upgrades.
  • Complete conference center contracts with renters.
  • Coordinates room set-up, food, a/v equipment needs, and clean-up of the conference center.

Essential skills, knowledge, and abilities include but are not limited to:

  • Communicate effectively.
  • Proficiently operate a personal computer.
  • Knowledge in Office 365 and SharePoint preferred.
  • Proofread and edit for content, grammar, and spelling.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with supervisor, co-workers and the general public.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Ensure that work is accomplished correctly.
  • Type accurately.
  • Answer a telephone and transmit messages.
  • Proficiently operate office machines such as photocopier, fax, scanner, postage meter, shredder, etc.

Education/Experience Required:

This position requires a two-year associate degree, with coursework in business practices and procedures and three (3) years of progressive experience in a related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Starting salary range: $29,884 – $37,355

Fingerprinting, background check, pre-employment drug testing, and valid driver’s license required for hire.
