Introduction to Tablets, Internet, and Email for Seniors Offered in Noble and Monroe Counties

Noble and Monroe County seniors interested in learning the basics of navigating safely online have the opportunity to take a free series of classes during the months of August and September.

The Noble County Commissioners and the Monroe County Commissioners, through the Ohio Department of Aging Health Aging Grant program, are offering the classes to help older adults learn the basics of using a tablet, including internet connectivity, email, social media, and more, taught by Ohio PC Solutions.

In Noble County

The classes will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays for four weeks, beginning August 6, at Noble County OSU Extension, 46409 Marietta Road, Suite 2, Caldwell. Two class options are available: 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. or 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Participants must be 65 years or older and reside in Noble County. Each participant will get to take home their tablet upon completion of the class. Class size is limited. To register, call Buckeye Hills Regional Council at 1-800-331-2644.

In Monroe County

The classes will meet on Mondays and Thursdays for four weeks, beginning September 5, at Monroe County OSU Extension, 467614 State Route 26, Woodsfield. Two class options are available: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. or 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Participants must be 65 years or older and reside in Monroe County. Each participant will get to take home their tablet upon completion of the class. Class size is limited. To register, call Buckeye Hills Regional Council at 1-800-331-2644.
