To help mitigate the need for non-emergency medical transportation to senior citizens and other at-risk members of the public, the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) has allocated state funding to Buckeye Hills Regional Council to manage distribution to local stakeholders and partners who provide existing transportation services in Washington and Monroe Counties, Ohio.

Direct engagement and coordination with local stakeholders, partners, and transportation service providers reached consensus that in-county and out-of-county non-emergency medical transportation funding would be impactful to all transportation providers. It was determined this would be beneficial towards mitigating the lack of service and its effects on seniors and the at-risk community in Washington and Monroe Counties.

BHRC is requesting proposals from interested parties for services as they relate to the expansion of in-county and out-of-county non-emergency medical transportation services in Monroe and Washington counties, Ohio.

Proposal specifications are available at the link below or by contacting Julia Hinzman, Mobility Manager, at jhinzman@buckeyehills.org. Proposals are due by email no later than 4:00 p.m., January 30, 2023.
