Drew Tanner has served as the Communications Director of Buckeye Hills Regional Council since 2019. A marketing and communications professional with 20 years of experience, Drew previously served in a variety of roles in rural, community-based media, arts, and nonprofit organizations. Having spent a decade as a reporter for a rural newspaper and radio station in West Virginia, Drew covered community and economic development stories at the local level, from industrial site remediation and public infrastructure projects to tourism and federal land management, helping readers and listeners gain a clearer understanding of complex topics. He has also served a variety of small business, tourism, and nonprofit clients as a freelance photographer, writer, web developer, and marketing consultant. Drew holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Capital University.
