As of April 11, 2024, all coupons for Perry County Healthy Picks for Seniors have been distributed. This one-time program is offered by the Perry County Commissioners with support from the Ohio Department of Aging’s Healthy Aging Grant Program.
New for the spring of 2024, Perry County Healthy Picks for Seniors will provide eligible Perry County adults age 60 and older $75 in coupons that can be redeemed for local beef, poultry, eggs, pork, dairy, and produce from March through June 1, 2024.
This program is made possible by a Health Aging grant to the Perry County Commissioners from the Ohio Department of Aging.
Buckeye Hills Regional Council, in partnership with the Perry County Commissioners and Perry County Job and Family Services, is seeking farmers to participate in Perry County Healthy Picks for Seniors.
The program will serve eligible Perry County adults age 60 and older. Up to 575 older adults will receive $75 in coupons that they can redeem for local beef, poultry, eggs, pork, dairy, and produce through June 1, 2024.
Farmers located in Perry County who wish to participate must complete and sign the Participating Farmer Agreement and a W-9.
Upon receipt of your signed 2024 Participating Farmer Agreement, W-9, and direct deposit form (if applicable), you will be ready to accept coupons. Buckeye Hills Regional Council will provide an invoice template for participating farmers to use when sending in redeemed coupons for reimbursement. Reimbursements may be submitted monthly. The final deadline to submit coupons for reimbursement will be June 15, 2024.
